Flo’s Firework Festival:
Client Description: Firework festival that is hosted by the Oregon Coast Aquarium. The festival celebrates the 1970 whale explosion from Florence, Oregon. This event is a comedic phenomenon that is still celebrated by many today. The festival also brings attention to serious issues that are affecting whales today such as pollution, beaching, and poaching. All ticket proceeds are donated to various charities that support whales and the environment.
Problem being solved: Whale poaching is a serious issue that is still happening today. About 16,000 whales have been murdered every year for 83 consecutive years.
Target Audience: Families who are interested in visiting the aquarium with their children. Parents ages 35-55, Children ages 6-12. (Also Fans of the 1970 Florence Whale Explosion.)
